Yoink - Better Drag and Drop App Reviews

This is a great app from a good developer who consistently provides (free) updates. When I first transitioned to Macs about 6 years ago, the click and drag functions bewildered me compared to Windows, one of the few things I had trouble with. This app helped ease the transition, and has become an indispensible part of the OSX experience for me, used every single day. Keep up the good work!

If you’re a designer like me you’re constantly dragging and dropping documents - whether it’s from the finder to Illustrator or finder to web browser. I got tired of moving finder windows to the side just to do this daily task. This app solves that problem - I use it constantly.

Yoink is one of those utilities that makes you wonder “Why didn’t Apple do this?” No more resizing open windows so the source and target are both on screen or copy and pasting; simply drag the item to Yoink’s landing pad and it’s stored until you are ready to drop it in a new location. I find it expecially useful for attaching files to email - find files, drag to landing, go into mail and drag to the message.

Such a simple little tool that makes desktop and finder manipulation such a breeze. Yes, you could copy and paste, but to see what you have and then gather them together is a tremendous time saver. So easy to use that even my kids all use it regularly and complain when other computers don’t have it. The developer regularly updates with OS updates as well. It’s a must have.

This is one of those apps that I got and then forgot about. Well, I recently re-discovered it, and I don’t know how I’ve lived without it! It makes moving files SO much easier. Kudos to the developer.

Originally I heard about Yoink! while listening to one of my favorite podcasts…The iOS Show! One of the podcasters recommended it and wow! I don’t know what I would do without it! Always comes in very useful during those times when I am either moving or copying files/graphics…you name it! Highly recommend it!

Apple should buy this program and put it in thier OS perminantly. In this day and age…every type of finder or start window…ought have a little cubby hole to stick stuff when in between apps or tabs. Perfect little invention!

Yoink is one of the few apps I use everyday. It helps me keep track of image files as I move them from one application to another and is very simple to use.

This is one of the few apps I REQUIRE on my Mac. I use this in a Support role for a software company and literally use it all day, every day. It is one of those rare gems that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. It just does what it does, simply and beautifully.
