A must for your toolbox
If you have ever needed to move a file to a folder deep in the directory structure you will certainly appreciate the usefulness of Yoink. Sure, you could create another instance of Finder and move the file from one Finder window to the other, but Yoink is a much easier (and more reliable) way to accomplish the task.
To use, simply drag your file(s) and/or folder(s) to the Yoink window. The Yoink window is unobtrusive and doesn’t show itself until the dragged object invades its space. This invisible window is located at the left edge of the screen by default but can be positioned at other locations. After dragging your object to the Yoink window, you will notice that the the original hasn’t actually moved. That’s the beauty of it, no action is taken until you drag the object out of the Yoink window and drop it at its new location. Only then will the file actually move. If you change your mind along the way, the operation is canceled. Incidentally, holding down the option key changes the move to a copy.
The app is well done and definitly worth the price.
