Yoink - Better Drag and Drop App Reviews

This app does exactly what the developer says it will. What it does is so natural and universally useful as a utility that I wonder why its functionality wasn’t included the operating system all along. Apple should buy this app and include it in macOS. The app is reliable, quick and places little demand on system resources. Definitely worth the price.

A must-have if you work with multiple desktop. Another proof that ideas do not have to be complex to be good.

Really great tool for pepple who have frequent work with mails and files. If its not work after upgrade, make clean uninstall, reboot, install again.

Really simple (as it should be) and handy, it gives addiction especially when you’re on a different Mac that doesn’t have it… It does what it says with no glitches whatsoever – well integrated with the OS, it’s now one of my two productivity apps of choice (the other one is SizeUp for resizing and moving to other desktops the windows via shortcut)

This is one of those apps you install first on getting a new computer. Just get it, and use it. Really helpful in getting work done.

What this app does it does incredibly well. Just the right amount of simple, but smart preferences under the hood for configuration. I’m grateful that this app is attended to regularly and remains up to date with iOS version bumps. I sure wouldn’t want to do without it! It makes moving files about a breeze!

I can’t imagine going back to NOT having this app. Its a simple, elegant, and smart way to move files/folders to other places, to becoming attachments, and more. Thanks for keeping this app focused and avoiding the temptation to make it do everything. I’m delighted to support this developer.

I use this all the time. I find it easier to use Yoink than moving files between tabs. As others have said you can move it to the Yoink shelf space then take the time to find the right place to move it. It’s simple and easy to use. Great job by the developer.

Since I bought this app years ago, I’ve been using it every day. It’s great.

I have used Yoink since its early releases, and seriously, I don’t know how I lived without it. It has become such a routine part of my workflow. It couldn’t be more seamless — start to drag an item, Yoink appears, release the item into Yoink’s tray. Then switch to the app/window you want and drag out. Done. And within the tray, you can preview, reorder, delete, etc. With the Option key, you can copy from the Yoink tray rather than move a file. Very intuitive. I use Yoink with Rapidweaver, Pages, Keynote, Word, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Mail, Outlook, and more. I use it to install fonts in Font Book. Drag files between drives. Seriously, it’s indispendable. The last version introduced an annoyance, but after user feedback, the developer addressed it in a quick release update. Great response. I can’t recommend Yoink enough. Five stars.

Worth the money. I gave it 5 stars. future improvements - I suggestion to to add option in preferences to select either copy or move so you do not have hold a key on the keyboard. In addition, add button on display to select all files. Works great for moving files and cut and patse text.

This app is essential for me. I cannot live without it, especially on my MacBook. Well worth whatever the price is. It’s so good, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it get sherlocked

This is one of those apps you didn’t know you needed. It just makes everything easier and I defintiely curse less at my Mac now :) Works all 100% of the time all the time.

Yoink has proven to be invaluable to me in quite a few ways. Does what it says.

I love this dang app. Yoink puts an always-there auto-expanding temporary landing space for files. Anytime you’ve got a file to move between two apps where drag-and-drop doesn’t work, Yoink is there to fill the gap.

It has come in handy every single day when I want to move files or keep a file handy for later use. Definitely recommended for all users

This app solves the big issue for me which having 3 monitors each with their own 2nd Mission Control desktop (a total of 6 desktops). Drag and drop is such a huge part of the Mac OS culture that it makes total sense to have this app as your number one sidekick.
